Re: Online wine auction offerings becoming sparse and pricey?

The NY tax is not 10% From my invoice from Sunday's auction - NY tax is 6.625% - add in the 24% buyers premium and the total is 30.625% on top of hammer price. Makes finding the wines with a sufficient risk premium discount to retail more challenging. 6.625% is not NY sales tax, it is NJ sales tax ...

I've noticed this generally but at Brentwood in particular - reserve prices seem to be set at or close to retail. Unless a particular wine is not available elsewhere, not worth the risk unless there is some meaningful discount.

I bought an olivewood Laguiole corkscrew from them on a previous drop at the same price. No issues whatsoever on ordering and delivery, just had to wait a bit for them to get enough orders on the drop. Now my favorite corkscrew, might even order another one.

Can you let me know the contact information for Valdicava as I could not find it on the web site! So unfortunately, I don't have contact information for any...

Nola - I pre-ordered 2019 olive oil, but we are on our last bottle from the last time.

Do you have an ETA on the shipping for the 2019 bottles, or should I just order some of the 2018s? :)

Curious about some of the producers that didn't seem to get as much traffic on their threads as the more established/well-known to Berserkers wineries. Do you have a sense of whether they saw volume as well, and were satisfied with their participation?

I received the Cru glass for testing. I compared it to the Zalto Burgundy stem and also to my favorite GGG. Bowl shape was generally similar to the Zalto but smaller - which I like, the Zalto Burgundy glass almost seems comically large every time I take it out. (GGG is my go-to glass for practically...

Since I don't have any Argentinian wines in my cellar, I'm bringing a 2008 Tierra Roja Cabernet Sauvignon (www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=1247502), because it sounds like it could be an Argentinian wine. And a 2014 Sandhi Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard (www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?i...
