It's really surprising how many prolific posters are not willing to kick in even just $25 to help support a site that they obviously use so frequently. No offense to anyone who is financially strapped - been there - but it is a safe assumption that anyone with a post count north of 10,000 probably h...

ATTN NJ/PA/ETC Berserkers - Saturday Feb 8th Cellar Drawdown Party

We had so much fun back in August, we decided to do it again - Cellar Drawdown Party #2. Dynamics are still the same, I need more space in the cellar, and we're not getting any younger, so why not share great wine with friends who appreciate it? Besides, it's the middle of the winter, do we really n...

Re: ATTN NJ/PA/ETC Berserkers - Saturday Aug 24 Cellar Drawdown Party

Maybe we need to add another dimension to the wine cellar drawdown tomorrow - pour a third of a wine into the $12.99 STORSINT decanter, a third into one of the $1.49 Ikea decanters, and than a third into a more expensive decanter, and see if anyone can perceive a difference. I can add a fourth dimen...

Chris told me about these at our last offline - and I dutifully went to the Ikea website and ordered a dozen. Except that I ordered the $12.99 STORSINT decanters, totally forgot there was another option - just searched on decanter.

Still a great deal, just not an amazing deal. :)

I've noticed this generally but at Brentwood in particular - reserve prices seem to be set at or close to retail. Unless a particular wine is not available elsewhere, not worth the risk unless there is some meaningful discount.

Curious about some of the producers that didn't seem to get as much traffic on their threads as the more established/well-known to Berserkers wineries. Do you have a sense of whether they saw volume as well, and were satisfied with their participation?
