Re: Delta Skyclub

I like to get 5-10 cpp for sky miles with the great promos they’ve been tossing out lately. Can you just buy the bottle there? If so, how much? They were selling them for $200. The miles seemed like the way to go to me. We had a pretty long layover so had time to enjoy the bottle before our next fl...

What Bedrock wine are you drinking tonight?

2015 Sauvignon Blanc - Staves of Waidhofen. In a good spot, grapefruit, melon, and a slight vanilla taste. No grassiness, which is definitely a good thing for me.

Want to Buy Littorai BUT....

Although I love the wines, I did not purchase this time as well. The costs are getting too high and shipping is outrageous! Also, I have attended on-site tastings twice in 3 years bringing another couple each time, and actually had to pay $60 per person each time ($240 total). The compost pile is j...

Bonus bottle of Sojourn 95 point Pinot noir, shipping included, and more

Hi Craig, The website is only applying the discount if we purchase 12 bottles which would mean a total of 13 with the freebie. I just want to make sure that is how you intended to set it up? I'm perfectly fine buying 12, but want to make sure that doesn't cause a problem on your end. I'm guessing th...

If you going tomSojourn for a tasting, I'd definitely swing by Sunflower Cafe for lunch. It's right on the square and one of the better tomato soups I've had.

Week 6 - Virtual Tasting for Charity - Champagne and your Pet!!!

Vino is an eight year-old Shiloh Shepard. He's a really big baby. NV Pierre Peters BdB - disgorged January 2016. Notes of green apple. Very acidic at this point which is to be expected based on the disgorgement date. After 20 minutes, getting some green apple and citrus but the acid never goes away....

My own trip, my absolute must-do was the Chihuly gallery and gardens. I had super-sky-high expectations. They were exceeded. I drowned myself there in blissful viewing for 3 hours. Detroit wine shops

Plus one for Vertical - on the pricey side for Detroit, but a pretty good selection of wines. If looking for a store, I think you want to venture out of Detroit. If looking for a good domestic selection, I'd go to ML Spirits. If French or Spanish wine than Elle's is a great option. Both are in Birmi...

Some insights into the new Sojourn Pinot releases.

I have become a big fan of the whole Sojourn lineup. Crazy enough, I was brought to that discovery by the entry level Sonoma Coast bottling a few years back, Since then I am gaining a tremendous appreciation for all of the vineyard designated bottlings and there have been some I never sampled. Toni...

We tasted several of their cabs on a tasting/tour last summer. Nothing really bad if you like the big Napa style, but nothing really stood out and everything we tried was at least 3 figures. Not mid-priced to me ... The tasting and tour felt like a time share sales presentation. As previously menti...
