There is a code for Wine.com that I used yesterday: getwine Gives you $100 off a $300 purchase. I loaded up on Ayala brut and the net net price after taxes and shipping was way below that. Closer to $30, actually. Enabler. Really though. What an effective coupon for me. $100 off a $300 purchase?!?!...

We use IKEA stemless at our rentals. They’re nice, super sturdy, and $1.99/glass.

Field Recordings bottles a great Zin-based daily drinker in 16oz cans.

I’m all about cheaper packaging for the 99% of wines that don’t survive more than a few months after bottling.

No idea where the tar comes from. Smoke can come from oak char or ...?

I think it's interesting to look back on Parker's big calls in his last few years at the helm - most of which have turned out to be highly debatable. Like the "great" 2003 vintage, the supposedly tannic and overrated 2005 vintage, and 2009 being better than 2010. He never called 2003 a great vintag...
