Having another batch of green flash alpine Nelson. Released two days ago. Man. It is so average. Not of that beautiful tropical nose and soft texture on the palate. That's three duds in a row. Deschutes Hop in the Dark, 6.9% abv while watching NCAA Final Four. Very dark, quite bitter, hops and roasted malt.

Was able to get my hands on some Three Floyds..Dreadnaught, Alpha King, and Arctic Panzer. FWIW, I thought I like Dreadnaught just a tad better than PTE just because of its better balance. Blasphemy, I know.

Totally agree on the 1966 Latour when we had it last year. We did a pop and pour and were totally blown away by its richness in aroma and flavor. Just a beautiful wine.
