I would think seeking out Jorge Ordonez imported wines would be a good option. They should be in your market and some of his lower priced Spanish reds are big and rich!

I had this on Thursday. It still had primary fruit and was not "moldy" in any way. I would go with Vincent and Eric's advice of putting it back in the bottle and bringing it to the shop!

I imagine this might be backlash from the fact that NY sent letters to out of state retailers telling them to not send wine into their state. We haven't shipped to NY since and that was about ~2 years ago. I know of at least one retailer to lose their FedEx credentials for shipping to NY after these...

I did not enjoy the 11 when I had it late last year. Was too weedy I enjoyed it, but my take was that the '11 tasted like Sauvignon Blanc, whereas the others tasted like Vatan. Yep - agree with Salil. I think the '11 might be fine on it's own, but it was clearly different than the other 7 vintages ...

We have several Rhone producers that blend in some merlot with their IGP, entry level offerings with very good results including Laurent Charvin
