When I stayed in Portland recently the hotel had "beer hour" and pony kegs of Ferment IPA and their porter were tapped. Both good, neither wow. Popped this tonight looking for something that would stand up to leftover lasagna. Uncorked another bottle tonight as the sun came out during an otherwise dreary PNW Spring. Tangerines & strawberries now, not particularly acidic, tannic or oxidative. Tried to get the color right.

Just found one of these and uncorked it, continues a string of great domestic 07 PN including Lynmar Jenkins and W-S RRV. This was all deep plum and delicious.

They made a lovely Chardonnay a few years ago from Yeun or Yuen, like domestic Premier Cru Chablis. Vintage was 09 or 12 I think.

Had 11 Ceritas Heintz last night and wife loved this wine. I preferred the PMR myself but clearly 2011 was a great vintage for Ceritas Chardonnay.

We had the 10 Stockholm Syndrome Syrah last Sept during my wife’s 50th. It was very good and I can’t imagine any reasonable preparation that would influence this wine at all, positively or negatively.

Might be a different story this time next decade.

Very happy I have eleven bottles left of the 2011 Ceritas PMR. Wine is all together now and a glorious melange of citrus, baked bread & crème brûlée. Real finish too.

2009 LS starting its long enjoyment window now with loads of smoke and vibrant black cherries. Decanted an hour and enjoyed over two, it barely budged. Delicious, and I think I have five more.
