Two Myriad wines: 18 McGah & 12 Sugarloaf Mountain Whole Cluster.
Both wines delicious, Syrah’s elegance perhaps created by ripe fruit and WC treatment.

We went 2012 Bedrock too last night, the Kamen Cabernet Sauvignon. Grilled marinated Bavette steaks with broccoli for a nice Saturday dinner. I decanted half the bottle a few hours and left the rest open to air. Wine is very interesting and highlighted by terrific mouthfeel. Both the nose and taste ...

Wife opened No. 20 while I was away at work, so I’m getting a glass on day 3.
I like it, a bit spicy on the finish for Cabernet. Pinch of Syrah there maybe? Nice deep nose, taste kind of all over the place but not unpleasant. It’s crazy young but I can see this being quite nice in 3-5 years.

Now, nearly exactly six years from Ken’s tasting, we unscrewed a 13 LCF Sumu Kaw Syrah which is just full of nervous energy, cured meats, strong whiff of citrus, mild olive, robust pepper, and real tannin balancing out the fruit as it gets ready to turn age eight.
