Re: Which Carlisle are you drinking?

12 Limerick Lane missed the high-points of the others from this discovered case. It opened full of Zinberry but sort of fell apart in under 90 minutes.

Storage?

So I have tried Flannery Traditional & Adventurous now pure China-White straight, with just some flake sea salt.

Incredibly hedonistic burger but for me the fat content is a wee bit too high. I’m cutting the Kali Blend with some grass-fed, 7% Oregon ground.

Need safer product or I might get hooked.

Tried a 14 Sherman’s Gold tonight. Amador wine but I’ve no idea of the vineyard in Shenandoah. I used to roll my mc thru there a lot in the 00s.

Needs two + hours open or decanted to show its stuff.

Tried another bottle last night, five years after the first. No spritz but really sweet fruit, like strange secondary fermentation. AFWE should run from this.

Again, we sort of thought the wine seemed to fall apart after 2-3H open. This bottle might have been flawed, it was almost barrel samplish.

I liked this wine a lot more than you did, the six years sideways did the wine a service.

Light & fine, but powerful. All the match/reduction is gone now. Stone fruits & pinch of lemon now too.

Not going to change your life but it’s very good Chardonnay.

2013 D&R Rosewood Petite Sirah

Six plus hours in decanter, enjoyed in Gabriel Universal stems, with grass-fed Carne Asada & baked beans. Honestly, didn’t seem to change much in the decanter. Wine is entering what should be a lengthy drinking window. It’s less juicy now than the 2012 but still with a high delicious factor. Grippy ...

Hayne has an exquisite, almost PN kind of attack, with an overall field blend appeal. Nose is slightly medicinal, moderately smoky, without a lot of fruit upfront. Smooth & elegant mouthfeel, explosive taste that’s hard to pin down, finish is real & spicy. We really enjoyed this with a half wheel of...

Moving shit around I recently found an aged cache of ~ 20 bottles sitting upright in a lay-down case. This was among them: Cayuse in the nose and maybe the initial taste but the color is darker and perhaps this finish is more chemical/halide rather than truly feral. A touch thinner than Cayuse too. ...
