Much better day two...the roughness has smoothed, yet still some oak spice sticking out. Such creaminess in this...with ample citrus and crushed rock structure...but not as much 'spearmint' as I would like. 93pts now...with still room to grow. @williamkelley would love to hear your impression on this!

Drank the remainder of the 18 after using it for beef burgundy/cotes du rhone...always purple fruited, primary and tarted in it's youth...but the 5+ hrs of air did bring out more black pepper, smoked meat, bramble, violet florals...very racy and silky. Loved these back in the 90’s...rich, buttered, and oaked to the brim! A red mans white! Didn’t age well at all...so surprised at the 95! The Alluvium Blancs were more fun!
