i tried it last Friday and it comes across more of a white rhone blend than Grenache Blanc... it has 15% Picpoul and 10% Rousanne. The latter gives it a much more rounded/fatter mouth feel. Maybe because it was barrel aged, too, and not concrete or tank. Totally has more of a lanolin, pear, honeysu...

Second day the acidity has integrated even more...still some spice kick and a little bitters...but all in all there is finally some harmony! Lot of exotics and spice in this big wine...but not heavy at all.

Nice! Always a fun crack with an older PY. No noticeable alc in a 05 Genevrieres had last...but did note some edgy oak spice, as well as the vintage richness. But with every sip it polished itself up nicely like a river stone!
