Nice! Always a fun crack with an older PY. No noticeable alc in a 05 Genevrieres had last...but did note some edgy oak spice, as well as the vintage richness. But with every sip it polished itself up nicely like a river stone!

Brian, have you tried her Vernaccia Carato? That is her oak-aged bottling, and a totally different animal than the Fiore. I like both, but the Fiore is one I can drink out on the deck, whereas the Carato is a wine that demands your attention - something similar to one of Tissot's Chards from the Ju...

June 10 - Boyer-Martenot Visit Vincent was a gracious host. The domaine that I was not familiar with. The wines were solid. I asked for a favor to buy the 14 Perrieres but it was not available. Vincent kindly gifted the 15 Perrieres. The wines were pure, no matchstick/sulphur for those who love it....

What’s your fav field blend wines...the ones commingled in the vineyard not at the winery? Geyserville is definitely a benchmark...love what Turley does with Casa Nuestra...plenty from Bedrock... the more ancient and gnarly the better! Name some?

What did you pay? I bought a 64 Ech a few years ago for something like $250...similar ullage and color(perceived) to your Richie...the wine SUCKED! Corked/oxed/spoiled/rancid....you get what you pay for!
