WTB: Cooling unit (self contained)

Wine Mate or Vinotemp or WhisperKOOL.

Hoping to find a used unit. Perhaps you have upgraded to a larger model.

It would be for a very small room holding <50 cases. No racks, just cases.

Thank you.

BINGO!
Two replies, two great answers.

Saboring is, of course, the most fun option!
I too had a sparkler that none of us could get the cork out of. (Must not have gotten its fair share of the paraffin or silicone coating.)
A cork screw did the trick.

Sulfur compound(s) in a wine made in a reductive style.

I bought two 6-packs (direct from SQN.) As awesome as the wines are, I do not need two. We have popped a bottle each of the syrah and grenache and I don't care what anyone says about the 2011 vintage, these wines are awesome! I have received a little bit of flack on my pricing. I used WS Pro and tried to steer closer to the low pricing. I did eliminate the absolute low because I believe that these bottles deserve somewhat of a premium since they are either "winery direct" or "Hart Davis Hart" direct....AND have been prof...

All wines have been, and are currently, pristinely stored in the HDH storage facility. All bottles are 750ml unless otherwise listed, e.g. MAGNUM or 5L. Wines with quanti...

Interesting tidbit Rich. Thank you.

Speaking of SQN, we've been drinking some of the 2011 reds. I don't care anyone says about the 2011s, these are pretty awesome, albeit YOUNG. The 11 Grenache was still quite closed after a 5 hour decant.

How long should I decant a bottle of 1987 Mondavi Reserve Cabernet?

Too late now I know, but I recommend 90 minutes on this. Somewhere in the 90-120 minute range it will peak, then plateau. I hope that it shined! I am a fan of the 87s.

Suggestions for wine list - Burg please

Assuming that you aren't "ready and willing" to lay out for the Grand Cru Dujacs, then I would suggest:

1 - Dujac - MSD (village) - as others have, and
2 - Pascal - Volany 1er Cru "Caillerets" (I've always liked the Caillerets bottlings.)

Enjoy!

Foley Claret Le Plus Albert Chardonnay Hi Howard. I am sorry that you found the Foley Claret to be one of the oakiest wines that you have ever had. It only sees 1/3 new (french) oak. The remainder is split between 2 y/o and dead neutral barrels. Did you find this with a specific vintage? Cheers! Eric

I dare you to decant your next bottle and not begin sipping until after 2+ hours. Yes, it was rich and lush from the beginning. That is Togni. Then the decanted wine changes. We all know about the "ups and downs" (or peaks and valleys if you prefer) of a decanted wine. (No, not all wines go through ...
