Re: 'Golden' Russian Osetra Caviar & Kaluga/Huso Hybrid @ unbeatable pricing!

I splurged. The Ossetra is shining. Huge eggs pale gold in color, bursting with nuttiness and fresh ocean breeze perception. Similar caviar from Petrossian or D&D would be about 4 to 6 times as much. Great deal Charlie, and thanks! The hybrid was also very nice. Not as fine, but rich, and full flav...

Popped one of these tonight and boy is it good! A mouthful of juicy strawberry and hints of watermelon. Nice acid and some depth, finish goes on and on. Nice wine!

It's hot out here today so looking through the cellar I found this...Huré Frères NV Champagne Brut Reserve L'Invitation, not sure where I bought it but it's nice. Tastes like a pretty high dosage but a really nice beam of acidity cuts right through it. Ginger brioche minerals and some baked apple re...

Curious what the format of "blind" is. Flights, or simply mixed up and tasted at will?

And with a matching pair of bottles, same vintage for New/Old? Just don't want 2018 Barefoot Pinot Noir to stick out much :-)

Congrats! '73 is my favorite DP vintage from the 1970's. Thanks Ray! I've only had it once and it was great. Fingers crossed. The bottle looks great. So our bottle of '73 Dom turned out to be good, not outstanding. Probably opened up at about a B and got to B+ level ultimately. Still some fizz left...
