I love the Pinots from The Pivot Vineyard also. Pivot and Platt and Hirsch were my favorites at a horizontal tasting at Littorai two or three years ago.

I agree about 2007 Volnays, especially from Domaine Marquis D'Angerville. I've had good luck with some Napa Cabs and Cab blends from 2007--notably Larkmead and Cain Five.

I checked with a friend who works in Tampa and lives in Sarasota (we have been to Bern's together twice now). She is currently visiting her daughters in Maryland and Pennsylvania so was not there for Hermine though it may come up the coast to catch up with her in Annapolis.

I've been a fan of Arlaud's wines, especially from Morey-St.-Denis (I believe there are some Gevrey wines also from this producer) since having an exceptional M-S-D 1er cru "Les Ruchots" some years ago. The "Les Millandes" can also be quite rewarding.

I agree with some of the listings but have differed in liking some Belle Glos wines (not so much the Meiomi.) Also, I like the Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon and have heard it said that he makes the Chardonnay which has such a feminine following so that he can afford to also produce the Cabernet.
