Unfortunately, I was told that Loosen is no longer bottling Stablay separately. What was the last vintage it was bottled?

I still have 3 btls '01 Spat, 8 375s '05 Spat, and 4 btls '08 Spat.

Definitely all over the map. Currently, the AQI in the Belmont hills is 50. There have been numerous times when Sandi and I have complained about the Belmont breezes that come from the coast. Not today.

Don't know about Ridge. I'm not scheduled to work there this weekend so I won't be able to tell first-hand. However, they have a note on their website saying they're not open for tasting today because of the fires and poor air quality. That doesn't bode well.

I’m lucky. My wife doesn’t know shit about wine, but likes nearly all the wines I open. We’re also both quite fond of gin, bourbon, rye, and single malts. We like the same style of beer, too: farmhouse ale/saison. No complaints here!

First things first. I hope I can taste 2017 Monte Bello since it wasn't possible due to no MB Collector events in the Spring. There would've been barrel samples of 2019, too. We'll see how things go.

Otsuka purchased Ridge in 1986. They're very hands-off or seem to be. Jin is correct about the Otsuka employee discount as a friend has that.

2002 Paso Robles Zin (Dusi Ranch) - 100% Zin, 14.4 alc. This bottle was in an ideal spot. The texture on it was amazing. No rough edges, perfectly balanced. My friends and I were stunned as to how good it was.

DRC hit it out of the park in ‘62. However, unless storage is pristine, I wouldn’t chance it. Also, can’t see the ullage. LT is one of the greatest Burgundies I’ve drunk, but I had it over 35 years ago and it was out of a 3 liter bottle.

Selection Massale’s roster is predominantly natural wine producers. Duplessis is not natural. However, because of that, your best bet to finding the wines is from shops that tend to veer in that direction. Those stores are the ones where SM sells their wine.
