Re: Official Costco Thread

Didn't see this thread and posted elsewhere, but the North Miami Beach location had Kosta Browne Russian River Valley 2016 for $80, which (to me at least) was pretty astonishing. I've seen the Dom there too, but not at the prices others are posting here (at ours it's nearly $200, I believe). There ...

Had a delicious dinner at Saba last week. We ordered a variety of plates and it was more than enough food. They are doing really great stuff there - it's pretty much the opposite of traditional New Orleans cuisine, but I do think it's one of the best restaurants in the city.

As for design, I had a traditional cellar in NJ, but I bought a contemporary house in Florida and built a modern glass enclosed wine room. I looked into STACT, but chose Vintage View racks instead and love the aesthetic. I have some walls with triple deep racks, and in the front facing the glass, I ...

Disagree that they are overrated. Overpriced, yes, especially the last couple seasons. But (most of) the ones we get local and fresh in South Florida are delicious. I buy them at a seafood shack about half a mile from the beach. They get them fresh daily and I buy them and eat them same day.

Very interesting to read the comparison of these wines across multiple vintages.
