Thanks for the insights, Tom! That's a great way to describe my experience with it - intellectually pleasurable. Looking at the bottle this vintage clocked in at 14% abv, but who knows how far that may have been rounded down. Cheers!

Does the "Best Web" price quote not look at Wine-Searcher? Noticed that for the 2011 Flowers Sea View Ridge PN that's up right now, Last Bottle claims a best web price of $62, but the same wine can be found in Wine-Searcher results for a cheaper price (from multiple retailers).

They are not allowing retailer shipments. It's a de facto ban of non-American wines, not a specific ban. Interestingly, I received an email last week from a well-known retailer in CA notifying me that they will be able to ship wines to MA via FedEx beginning February 1. Not sure if that's a mistake...

Spotted a bottle of Van Winkle "Lot B" 12yo on the shelf of a liquor store near my house for $999.99. Absolutely insane. If someone's willing to pay what seems to be even beyond most secondary prices, good for the retailer. I'll stick to Weller 12 instead.

House glass for for PN is the Schott Zwiesel Tritan glass, from either their "Fine" or "Pure" collections IIRC. Super durable and relatively cheap to replace. I also have a couple of Riedel Vinum XL glasses, but they see less action.

Despite the absurd amount of subjectivity in these types of lists, I will say that it's nice to see well-deserving New England spots like Deep Ellum, Lord Hobo, The Publick House, Ebenezer's, and Novare Res on there.
