95 BdM hands down for me. I think that DP will be the best since 82 as far as “recent” vintages. But for now that BdM is in a better place.

Central Market in Dallas had 20% off 6 or more recently. I got them for around 138$ if I remember that correctly. I popped 1 for research about a month ago and agree no other young DP I have had was this approachable.

Re: “Bigger, Bolder” Oregon Pinots

This is a tough one, its harder to generalize here. It really depends on the wine, vintage, and individuals definition of big and bold. I would agree with Antica Terra (Lillian bonus is a great idea), Maggie and the wines are great. As for Shea I think those wines, and Yamhill in general, have a "bi...

Glennon is my fathers name. I worked 3-4 harvests for Mike Smith in Napa and was blown away by the physical and mental grind of winemaking. My father is a 4th generation carpenter and his work ethic and his talent for craft is remarkable. The passion in my dad, Mike, Marcus, and many others is what ...

Apologies it took me awhile to see this. I am in Oregon to bottle the 2017 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Flight delays have resulted in Marcus pretty well doing all the hard work without me. Through a bit of gift giving error on my part, my parents have both. The ninja is a good old school blender if you will. The Vitamix is almost an entirely different animal. Smoothies and anything you drink being the biggest difference (vitamix far outperforms). Needless to say mom gifted the ninja t...

Berserker's Favorites - CHAMPAGNE - Vote!

1. Krug - to me its just that good
2. Dom Perignon - what they do at the volume is simply amazing
3. Selosse - most unique award
4. Ruinart - IMO most under rated house
5. C. Bouchard - points for early low dosage that is well made

Haven't had enough Salon to put them in the running.

Expect ~60% of the live weight, however the smaller the pig the lower the % of meat. So after that it depends if it is 30 or 40 and how hungry your guests are.
