Grandma Potatoes

750g fingerling potatoes, peeled&halved
1 onion, cubed
1 clove garlic, chopped
150g sour cream or Créme fraiche
2 tbsp Cornichons, cubed
2 tbsp salted Capers, rinsed
1 bunch chives or parsley
2 tbsp butter
1 mild Chili (optional)


1. Cook the onion cubes in butter on moderate heat. Also add  garlic and optional mild Chili

2.  Add potatoes. Mine was so small I didn’t halved.

3. Add water until the potatoes are halve in water. Add some salt&pepper. Use high heat shortly. After 1 min turn to low heat. Add a lid and let it simmer for 20 min

4.  After 20min add. Créme fraiche and capers&cornichons. Let it cook for 4-5 min.

5.  Finally add chopped chives.

6. Serve with trout, chicken breast or solo with bread. ENJOY
