for me the breze needs quite a bit of age to show its greatness. anytime i have tasted this young it still carried quite a bit of oak.
Thanks all for the thoughts!
And as I suspected, the foolishly priced '08 Rougeard was an error, now corrected, after I inquired to their wine director…
Clos Rougeard, Clos, Saumur-Champigny (2008) 325.
How much is corkage if you don’t buy a bottle?
$50 for the first 750ml bottle, $75 for the second 750ml bottle or $125 for one 1500ml bottle. The corkage fee will be waived for each bottle (at least 750 ml) purchased.
From the list above by the glass:
G.D. Vajra, Dolcetto d’Alba, Coste & Fossati, Piedmont, Italy (2015) 18
My local, very popular Italian restaurant, for a bottle:
G.D. VAJRA DOLCETTO D’ALBA PIEDMONT, 35
Nuff said.
2007 d’Eugénie Vosne Brulées is along the lines of what I’d look for, at $175 it is barely more than current release price, good cellartracker notes, but no personal experience.
