Just one more thought about what I said above.

In addition, I think the ROI on these types of things is measureable. I can’t believe that people would be adverse to the wine maker getting a list of the people involved so you could actually see if it generates new business.

1. Offering to send a bottle or two to a regular tasting group. The hard core tasing groups that meet on a regular schedule and drink serious wines - not the soccer mom tasting group that drinks white zin. I think this would get you some good exposure, good will and good word of mouth (providing the wines are any good) for really short money.

Now you’re talking! In case people were wondering, my group (of which Andy is a big part - Randy, so is Mike Cotou - he opened my eyes to Match) meets at least twice a month and we are both part of another group that meets once a month! Wow lots of exposure here! hahahah

Well hell, you can get your Match from Mike Coutu, I think he has more than I do.

For those of you who have to pick and chose, stay away from the Boston wine Expo - at least from a consumer point of view, it’s just a booze fest. I have no inside retailer knowledge, so for all I know it’s a good place to be…just saying what I see when there!

I’d actually be interested to know…do you see business from this thing?

I haven’t gone to the Expo in over a decade. We had a table in the Grand Cru room two or three years ago, but even that was fairly useless.
