I’m guessing probably a Brunello at top, with Chateau Climens in second place.

Carlisle 2014 Papa’s Block Syrah
People still care about the grift known at the WS WOTY?
Bruce
My guesses would be: Hamilton Russell Chardonnay, Beaux Freres Pinot or Chateau d’Yquem…
I am appreciative of the hype and guessing, it made me buy a bunch of 2011 Dow before the prices took off. Then, I don’t think it even placed in the top 10.
??? It was WOTY
Ha!
Orin Swift!
Come on Caymus and Meiomi!

That is the best young port I have ever tasted.

I did that as well, bought a case at like $60, figuring it would either be WOTY, or I’d keep and enjoy. Then the next year it got the nod, and I sold most of them for $250ea. Bought some nice Burgs with the dividend.

Man, Domaine Serene has to be pretty upset at only coming in 2nd place…with all those full page ads in every single issue and all.
These threads used to be fun and enjoyable. Sad that its now all about bashing wines and the magazine.

In all honesty, there are some wines there of obvious quality, and a couple real head-scratchers.
Parker gets WS’s #3! Interesting
Glad I bought my 2011 Asili several months ago.
Number 3 and 2 are both Oregon??
Oregon’s doing well at the top. But my guess is…La Rioja Alta.
