Washington DC for the 4th Weekend

The Partisan is new and fun and right down the street from the Monaco. Fantastic cured meats.
On Saturday, go to the dim sum brunch at The Source.
Most places in dc have corkage now. Average is $25.

Just back from the trip. The stay in the District was near perfect. I strongly recommend the Sofitel near the White House (thanks to Neal–corner room was outstanding). Had exceptional dinners at Black Salt, Proof, Corduroy and Rasika. A special nod to the Som at Rasika. We BYO’d at all the restaurants, but he was extremely helpful in assisting us with parings for the Rochioli Sav Blanc that we brought. The followup to the VA farm on the Northern Neck of the Potomac was just right to decompress after the city. Thanks to all who gave me guidance–not a false step from start to finish.
