UC Davis Curator's Cellar Dinner: 38 LMHB, 57 Petrus, 78 Diamond Creek VH, 38 Lambrays, 93 Rousseau

I buried a mixed case of this with Beze (and Mugnier Musigny) that I haven’t tried since release. With a description like that it might be time to revisit, huh.

So where did you go eat after this? I was “amused” by the amuse bouche which appears like there was almost enough for it to leave a streak on the side of the cup before never reaching your mouth. I will never understand chefs who value presentation, which was gorgeous, over offering enough food to satisfy an appetite.

Does give me a reasonable hope for the few UC Davis bottles I got (none of the caliber above, but still) . One of them is to be opened with my parents

lol. There was plenty of food. Everyone was pretty stuffed. About 9 courses in all and lots of wine

Insanely awesome post!!!

Thanks for sharing, especially the cork pics along with the food, bottle shots, and TN’s.
