TN: 1985 Olga Raffault Chinon Les Picasses (France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon)

Just drank my bottle and… wow… that was wine-life changing. So this is why people age wine.

I am with you on that. Just took delivery of three, but I have a pretty bad cold, so waiting for a better day. A beauty of a wine.

Never knew a wine could open up the way this bottle did. flirtysmile

Thanks for the notes, boys!

Just grabbed me some 1985 plus some more 1989.

I really enjoyed the '90 over the weekend. I have no idea how that vintage compares to others, but picked up some more '90 and some '85 because of it (and this thread)

The '85 that fellow berserker Terrance C. shared with me was one of my WOTY last year, great stuff!

The 85 is also why I recently got a bunch of 07’s online, as the price is still dirt cheap and there’s at least a little bit of age on them.

Then I can wait 22 years and sell them for a huge profit. #investment! … Oh wait, sorry, wrong thread.
