I’m with you on the Tami Frappato. I’ve not been as happy with the Nero d’Avola from Tami.
2015 Frank Cornelissen Contadino 13th Ed. - Wow! This wine comes screaming out of the glass at you with a tart cherry scent. Pale ruby, slightly cloudy. CO2 spritz when it hits the lips, but just a touch, not bubbly. Okay, yes, it very much speaks of being a natural wine, but in the best possible way. Slight hint of brett, not overwhelming. No VA. Maybe the palate kind of underperforms compared to that nose, but that isn’t surprising. There is a distinct bitterness to the palate, though with decent length at that. Fascinating wine. Glad to have 11 more.
