Thank you all for the detail responses. There is a lot of stuff in here I wouldn’t have otherwise considered (giant floppy hat!) And thanks for the heads up on the boot sale David, I took advantage of that. I’ll get to Santa Rosa in early July, and will definitely take you up on that beer.

Get a bucket of rice. Punch your hand into the rice, open up your hand while it’s still in the rice, grab a handful of rice, and squeeze. Repeat with your other hand. Do this until your hands bleed and you begin to cry. Start again the next day, and again and again and again. Do this until you have farmer hands (thick and calloused and tough as hell).

Even then may be prudent to run that past your cellarmaster or AW prior to pumping over.
