CdP April 7th visits- Pegaü, Janasse, Barroche

I was in the shop in town today. The young man on the left in the 4th photo down was working there. We asked after the wonderful older gentleman who had served us in past years. We were told he had past away from cancer.

On a happier note, we tasted and bought some of the 2013 Reservee and 2012 Laurence, which was very fine indeed. We also tased and bought some 2006 La Nerthe, 2015 La Nerthe Blanc, and a fully mature 2004 Mont Olivet tradition (a fantastic buy @ 26 euro.)

Great trip report and pictures!

I am very sorry to hear this.

At our home base in Menerbes last night we downed two bottles of the current Plan Pegau we bought on Tuesday. It’s gone up in price since our last visit: from 6 to 9 euro. None-the-less the QPR is fantastic. Unmistakably Pegau.

Nice to see Julien thriving in his new cellar. I’m looking forward to stopping by in October. It’s been a few years now.
