We started with the 1927 Alvear Pedro Ximenex, as the birth year wine. The Haut Brion was rich, dark, complex, and lively. Far from full maturity, this Bordeaux offered ample tobacco, gravel, and forest notes. Its finish was quite layered, silky, yet gripping. Thank you.
