Looking for a new gps to take to France/Italy this year. Comparing the Garmin Nuvi 3597 LMTHD to the 3490 LMT. Former has a bigger screen and is a bit heavier and no pedestrian feature for walking around. 3490 has a slightly smaller screen, lighter, but with the pedestrian feature and is $20 more expensive. Anyone have either of these units and can comment?
The new Consumer Reports just rated these, but only list points, no comments. The first one got an 84 while the 2nd got an 82.
What were the ones with higher points?
Points now matter?

Only the 3590 got 85.

I just got back from Italy (Barolo) and can report that the Garmin Nuvi 3597 LMTHD performed brilliantly. Other than 2 occasions where the fastest route recommended was a 1 lane country road, I never had a moment’s hesitation and was never lost.
