Northern Alsace - any tips?

We will be in Landau/Pfalz for a few days in April, and would like to drive down to Alsace. Anyone have info/recos for Wissembourg and Cleebourg and the area?

Thanks in advance!

what sort of recos are you looking for? Wineries? Restos? Bowling?

Well, considering this is BowlingBerserkers…

Restos
Vignerons
Caves
Things to be discovered in this largely undiscovered region.

the big prize here is a trip to Auberge du Cheval Blanc. if you like fine dining, not to be missed. a lovely place to stay as well.

You will undoubtedly enjoy plucking the wine list at L’Atelier du Sommelier (appropriately named).

the cave de vinocole de Cleebourg is fun, in the Voges, where you should do a hike.

Thank you! No bowling, but just the thing I was after!

I quite like the good old fashioned Michelin Green Guides too.

Paul,

Just a public thank you - great tips!

It’s my pleasure. So we can be fully jealous of your trip, please tell us more about your dinner at Cheval Blanc. Do you have any pics of the cheese course?
