One thing of note for those travelling to and staying in Germany: DHL inside Germany is incredibly cheap to ship wine – under $10 a case. So if you’re staying in a town for a few days, I highly recommend shipping wine from your favorite winery.
He’s right. I never pay more than 6-7 euro for shipping.
Compare that to over $30 for a case within the US.
Most shops ship free if you order over €100 or 12 bottles, or something similar.
