SAQ - Montreal

Where is the “best” SAQ store in Montreal environs?
And any special food places anyone would suggest?

Thanks!

There are 2 “signature” stores in Quebec. 1 is in Montreal. Worth the visit vs. normal SAQ’s.

677, rue Ste-Catherine Ouest - locaux R-01et M-31 - Complexe Les Ailes
Montréal, Québec

The Signature store at Les Ailes mentioned above is indeed a must visit. Premium (and premium-priced) products not available elsewhere, not just wine but spirits as well. And Ludwig is the best product consultant anywhere, period.

I would also put in a word for the Atwater Market branch (155, avenue Atwater, across from the Market). Interesting eclectic selection, I can usually find several things (Loire, Beaujolais, Jura, etc) to tickle my AFWE-palate. Got some Ganevat J’en Veux Encore a couple of weeks ago, ultimate summer glugger. The market itself is a lot of fun at this time of year, local produce everywhere plus two of Montreal’s best cheese shops. Lots of good food nearby, including Satay Brothers at the Market and Griffintown eateries (Joe Beef, Liverpool House, Le Vin Papillon, etc.).

Nothing like Montreal in the summer, I’m heading over there myself this weekend
