Any recommendations for a decent place for dinner near Montmartre Sacré-Cœur?
Place du tertre is one of the worst place to eat.
This restaurant is within walking distance from/to Montmartre. I’ve eaten here about 4-5 times over the last 3 years, my wife who makes it to Paris more often than I do, had eaten at Le Pantruche about 7-8 times. Delicious bistro dishes and the desserts are memorable.
+1, very good classic food, OK wine list. They have a store across the street but I’ve never managed to get there when it’s open.
Le Coq Rico, mentioned above, has great chicken including Bresse, super casual resto w great food–been twice, consistent. Jeremy Holmes ate their recently and was quite positive also.
Yes, Le Coq Rico. If you can sit at the bar watching them cook, that’s the best spot : )
One more for Le Coq Rico. Been there 3x in Paris and like 10x in their NY ‘branch’. That’s some good chicken, and the wine list is also pretty nice…
