Oh, lovely, heat wave rolling across Europe

So we’ve got this great trip planned to go biking in Burgundy for five days. Rolling vineyard hills, picturesque villages, pleasant streams. Typically around 80 degrees in early July. Actual Forecast: 100! (and 103 in Paris the day we arrive)

I know, the vineyard managers (and elderly without air conditioning, etc.) are rightfully much more concerned about the heat than any traveler should be (this isn’t just hitting Burgundy but starting in Spain then rolling over the UK and France and on into Germany), but damn! Here’s hoping the heat wave isn’t as bad as currently predicted.

Good luck to you. I just got back and we had perfect weather with 70s during the day and 60 at night. Hail storms hit at the end of June last year in Burgundy so while not ideal I would think the vineyard managers would prefer the heat to the hailstorms.
