Best places to stay and eat in Mammoth (summer)

Hey all,

We are going to go to Mammoth this summer to go hiking and fishing and whatnot with our kids (6 and 8). I haven’t been there for 15 years.

Where are the best places to stay? We’d be looking for someplace nice but it doesn’t have to be a resort or anything.

Thanks

Scott

There are a number of rental cabins on the June Lake Loop, north of Mammoth. That would put you halfway between Mammoth and the hiking opportunities of Yosemite and Mono Lake.

Definitely look into AirBnB or VRBO rentals.

i love the westin monache

Actually the Monache is what I was eyeing last night.

VRBO has a couple Monache condos. Do you know if there’s a benefit to renting through Westin or VRBO?

Same access to facilities and rooms?

Thanks

Scott

Alright – we’ve got a place at the Monache.

And recommendations for solid places to eat? Doesn’t have to be fancy, just good

Thanks a ton

Scott

Hopefully, The Stove is still great for breakfast. That place has been an institution for decades.
