Grapevine Texas

Will be trapped at a conference for a few days. Staying at the Gaylord.

Not likely to have the time or energy for Dallas or Ft Worth.
May be time for 2 dinners and possibly a few hours in Grapevine one afternoon.

Anything worth seeing? (Almost afraid to ask about the wine)
Dining options seem mainly steak?

Don’t know of any BYOB’s in Grapevine. If you want to eat something besides steak and like Mexican food (not TexMex) you might try this place. It will be close to where you are staying. We found several of the dishes to be quite like they would be in the interior. Nice looking place too. They have a full bar too.

Mi Dia and Pappadeaux’s are good.

If you like chili, stop by Tolbert’s. One of the best I’ve had.

Thanks for the reccos!
Pappadeaux’s i’d heard of but not Mi Dia or Tolberts.

Leaving the wine check home this trip, so was not looking for a BYO necessarily.
From what I can tell, buying local wine in Grapevine sounds a little scary…

Papadeaux’s is a regional chain. The others are local and very good. Both are on S. Main in Grapevine. Mi Dia is just after you exit Hwy 121 going north on Main. Tolbert’s is 8 blocks north of them. Easy to get to from where you are.

Made it to Tolberts. The chili was as advertised and there was a good selection of local beers. However the Journey tribute band drove us out the door before we sampled the list too broadly.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

No one can do tribute to Journey.

Mi Dia and right next door Bob’s.

Cheers,
Andrew
