Airstream pros and cons

I am really thinking about buying an airstream international 23FB when I retire. Which is actually some years off. But I was wondering if anybody here has an airstream and would give some insight to the pros and cons versus cheaper campers. I plan on doing a lot of traveling to state and national parks all over.

What vehicle do you use? I currently own a v6 Honda Pilot. Probably will need a full size SUV. Gas mileage. Rv camping clubs such as belonging to a KOA etc etc.

Anything really.

If you can get one that comes with a Brasileira super model and some nice wine from Puglia (wonder where that came from), go for it:

I’ve always gotten a little kick out of these folks:

One day returning home to Cheyenne, from a few days of Sage Grouse hunting in the north end of the Shirley Basin, I drove past one of the VAC rendezvous in the very small town of Medicine Bow, Wyoming.

Don’t know about towing an Airstream, but my best friend sure is pleased with having finally (a few years back) purchasing a diesel GMC 2500 for towing either his trailer or his boat. LOTS of serious climbing when towing anything out here in the west.

Joe B - For tow vehicle you might consider one of the new RAM 1500 ecodiesels with crew cab as they have sufficient towing capability for ~8K lbs and get good mileage towing and great mileage unloaded.
