Wine Shops in Providence and Boston

I’ll be attending a wedding in Providence in a couple weeks. Would appreciate some reccos for where to find some wine and spirits in the area. After the wedding, I’ll be spending a few days at the Westin Copley in Boston and could use the same suggestions for that area as well.

Boston is easy.

Marty’s in Newton off the Mass Pike. One of the best selections in the area. Board member Peter Tryba is the buyer there.
Federal Wine by the Old State House in the Financial District. It’s on the Freedom Trail, take a walk there. Disclaimer-I used to work at both.

There are some newer places close to the hotel. A fellow former Marty’s employee used to work at Urban Grape and spoke highly of it, and I’ve heard nice things about the Wine Emporium. Both are on Columbus Ave. I’ve never been to either of them.

Which proves they are both on the upswing?

Would second Brent’s recommendations of federal and Marty’s. Would also highly recommend urban grape - close to your hotel, really interesting selection, knowledgable folks.
