I’ll be on a flight to Milan (ultimate destination, Alba) on the 19th, so that date’s no good. But I can make the 12th. As far as a theme, I’m for either Barolo or Brunello, but I would recommend some age on them (10-20 years).
September 12th works for me as well.
I like the idea of a specific vintage as well.
Brunelllo is good since I don’t drink a lot of it.
Champagne - because it’s Champagne
Beaujolais is fine as well.
Barolo - I have a few…
Btw, I know Julius pretty well (assuming it’s the same Julius!) so it’s not a case of harassing the new guy. He is good peeps and is known to show up at offlines with a rolling cart suitcase type thing of wine.
