Wifey got some comps so I’ve been over-ruled on the free Jefferson Starship show.
It’s a pretty good line-up of both food and wine.
Was this what they were setting up for on Grand north of 3rd yesterday? How was it?

Yes, it was the L.A. Food & Wine event on the blocked of section of Grand in front of the Disney Hall and Broad Museum. The one drawback was that it was hot out with the second being there was hardly anywhere to si. We got winery comp tickets so can’t really say whether most people paid the $160. I think there were some discounts and packages to be had.
The event was cool. Mike D from the Beastie Boys DJ’d and played some good music. The architecture, some celebs, and stylish crowd added a tad. The food was very good, perhaps not as excellent as a couple of other events during the year. But the tastes were prett high-end (eg foie, summer truffle, sushi grade) and varied. The wine was not as good as the best wine tastings, but plentiful, and better than most food-centric events.
Well enough good stuff like Henriot, C. Heidsieck, Roederer, Gonet, Fevre, D’esclans, Kistler, Dumol, Sandhi, Tablas, ABC, silver Oak, Melville, Westerly, Red Car.
