Port dinner May 1 Cal Poly Pomona University (Los Angeles area)

Getting some Port lovers together to enjoy some Port, good food, and company. More details in the FTLOP link below, but here’s the skinny;

May 1st (Friday)
6pm arrive, 630pm ordering food (so there’s a little wiggle room if you get delayed in some Friday traffic)

Location: Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch http://www.cpp.edu/~rkr/about/about.shtml This is a student run restaurant that I and some other WB regulars have been doing dinners at many times a quarter. Awesome people, students, location, food, and views.

Max 10 people

Theme: Any Vintage Port or Vintage Colheita 1970 or older (that means no tawny’s with an indication of age 10-20-30-40 year tawnys, no LBV’s, etc. If not sure please ask).

There is a hotel a very short walk across the parking lot that most people are getting rooms at so no one has to drive anywhere after…and so the party continues after dinner. The rooms recently were renovated and are very clean and comfy, though not a 5-star. http://www.kelloggwest.org/

Please RSVP if you can make it.

Attendees:

Mark L.
David Sm. 1970 Taylor VP

wish I could attend :frowning:

Sounds like fun, but I would probably have to shoot myself if I tried to drive from my place to Pomona on a Friday afternoon…

Bruce

I’ve got the day off so if you (or anyone) wanted to you can hang at my place until I head out to check in, around 2-3-ish. Or meet at hotel earlier around 3-ish for some bubbly ahead of time.

Updated with David added.

I really want to go to this. I rarely get a chance to share ports with people who adore them as much as I do. Sadly, I just cant make this one.

Bummer, hope to catch you at the next one.
