One more try before I head to the auction market, I’m raising my price!
Need one bottle for an upcoming tasting. Great provenance, either original owner or bought long ago and stored correctly.
$1,400 and I pay for shipping and take shipping risk.
Provenance has to be great.
Need the label and capsule to look reasonably good and have a neck fill.
Prefer someone in the NY area where I can hand cash for the bottle to avoid shipping risk.
PM if you have and send a few pics.
If you’ve got a little wiggle room, vintage wise, I’ve got some perfectly stored '68 and '70 MVs.
Unfort no wiggle room, though I think 1968 is the better wine!
I agree, and also think the '70 is holding up a little better right now.
Saturday night we poured the '68 Heitz Napa, and even that was just a monumentally delicious wine.
Ok. Tempt me. 1 bottle each of the 1968 and 1970 Heitz ‘Marthas’. It’s not the 1974 but it’s great. How much?

I’ll tempt you:
Three bottles, .750, 1974 Heitz Martha’s Vineyard, very top shoulder/bottom neck, stored at 50 to 55 degrees since acquiring in 1981. Will provide photos.
$4,500 for the three.
Will not split up, going to auction soon.
Still looking for a pristine bottle of 1974 Heitz ‘Marthas’ for a comparison tasting. Little luck to date. New price. $1,300.
Now I’m up to $1,400 for 1 perfectly stored great provenance bottle.
