Unfortunate Food Trend

I was wondering if anyone else is noticing an odd new trend in American cooking - under seasoned food. [soap.gif]

I can’t tell you how many restaurants I’ve been to in the U.S. over the last two years where the food was dramatically under seasoned and bland. Even more disturbing is how many steakhouses and restaurants serving meat courses do not season the meat. Lastly, what the heck is up with restaurants not putting salt & pepper shakers on their tables?!

The purpose of a restaurant is not to save their customers from “high blood pressure”, it’s to prepare and serve interesting and flavorful food. Oh and while I’m at it, if you own a steakhouse, stop slicing the steak before bringing it to the table. We’re adults we can cut our own steaks!! When you do this you let the juices out, drain the heat off and ruin the presentation! [swearing.gif]
