Mauviel Cookware

This has 1.5mm copper, the higher end series is 2.5mm which makes for heavy pots but probably better heat conductivity.

Dennis, I saw this set last week and contemplated getting it myself, but as I already own enough mauviel cookware to get by on I’ve held off for now. Three things to keep in mind are 1) This set is a total deal and half; nowhere else can you find it remotely this cheap 2) Mauviel isn’t known for making second rate products, but because I only own the 2.5mm pans I can’t vouch for these which brings up my last point 3) Its Costco! You can return anything to them so you have nothing to lose.

This may be a nice deal for what you get, but it is not what Mauviel is renowned for making. It may even be made by another company and licensed for sale at Costco. I’ve been burned in the last few years from higher end Costco purchases. With that said Mauviel can often be found in the close out bins of places like Sur la Table or Williams Sonoma Outlets.
