Two of my favorites on the list are the Pleasant Ridge Reserve and the Mt. Tam

+1, also Cabot makes great cheddar

The Cypress Grove Midnight Moon is really good.

I haven’t had most of these cheeses, but ones that I’ve had and liked:

Wednesday, October 5: Point Reyes Farmstead Blue Cheese
Thursday, October 6: Jasper Hill Farm Cabot Clothbound Cheddar
Friday, October 7: Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue
Thursday, October 13: Cypress Grove Chevre Midnight Moon
Friday, October 14: Prodigal Farm Rowdy Gentleman
Tuesday, October 18: Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam
Saturday, October 22: Hook’s Creamery 1-Year Aged Cheddar
Sunday, October 30: Jasper Hill Farm Bayley Hazen Blue

I might add, I like blue cheese quite a bit. Almost certainly, they will let you sample before you by, so if it’s convenient, I’d stop by often. Alternatively, you could try to sample a few cheeses at once, so you know which cheeses to return for and which aren’t worth the trip.

love the Bayley Hazen Blue

+1

Cypress Grove Chevre Midnight Moon is one on my favorites also.

October 24’s…just cause the name is cute.

Make sure you get some of the aged gouda!

I just bought the prodigal farms rowdy gentleman. It is excellent. Ash ripened goat. I have tried a lot of their cave aged cheeses with mixed results. The rest of the list outside of the discount is OK… I think there are better options (if price was not taken in to consideration)

Mt Tam is pretty much a staple in our fridge. Pick one that is a little soft to the touch if you can, then let it age in your fridge for several weeks to soften and become more creamy. When young, it’s a medium firm cheese, a la Jarlsberg (just to name one most people know). You want it to develop and become creamy all the way through, then spread it on a good bread.

Love it! thanks folks

6!

13!

15!

18!

18 is awesome, buy two!

(Hey, this feels like that joke about telling jokes at the ‘old comedians home.’)

Have a grate cheesey month!

The Vermont Creamery Coupole is great. I don’t buy French goat cheese any more.

…and prematurely. pileon

The cheese was initially named Stinky Bottom. With a re-naming, it now sells better.

Rogue Smokey is one of their least appealing cheeses IMO.

Carr Valley makes excellent cheeses. If that type of cheese on the list (#27) appeals to you, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Red Hawk is my favorite from Cowgirl Creamery (if ripe), most European style cheese they make.
