I have a ton of basil in the garden I need to use.
Anybody have a good online source for real Pine Nuts. Not the ones from Asia.
I have googled and found a couple but as prices are pretty high I thought I would look here for guidance.

I can’t help you, but curious.
So I live the NYC area. If I go to a local Italian grocer type of store, the pignoli/pine nuts are not “real”? They are “fake” Asian imports?? No tone implied-just asking.
Depends on where you go. The Asian nuts aren’t fake and are less expensive but there’s a particular breed which comes from there which can cause pine nut syndrome. It’s not all pine nuts from Asia.
personally I’ve always trusted the ones I buy at Buon Italia but I’ll admit to never having confirmed their origin.
As best as I understand it the Asian ones are different than those grown in Europe, they are much smaller and cheaper and yes they can cause pine nut syndrome which I have had that really sucks.

Future reference, if you happen to be a member, the Sam’s Club in Batavia has killer deals on them often.
I’ve gotten these from nuts.com and been pleased with the quality (not so pleased with the price!).
