Tokyo dinners

Any restaurants just killing it now in Tokyo?

Any recommendations for a relatively low-key sushi spot in Ginza (how is Tokami)?

Planning to return to Tetsuan and Amour, but looking for 1 more spot!

Thanks!

Doug:

For high end dining, I like Takazawa a lot, but it’s not an easy booking. Perhaps the concierge at your hotel can help.

There are a huge number of sushi options in Tokyo, as you might imagine. Kanesaka at the Palace Hotel is pretty good on the high end; there are many, many others that are well worth a trip. Does the sushi place need to be in Ginza specifically?

I also sent you an email with some suggestions. Please feel free to email me if you have questions.

I’d second the Takazawa recommendation. One of the nicest husband and wife teams you will ever meet in or out of a restaurant. And what a story he tells with his food. Find the theme and it becomes an epic. Incredible wine list with very mild mark-up too.
