I’ve got a quick trip to SF coming up and looking for suggestions. I’d prefer not to have to wear a sport coat and am staying in the Union Sq area so looking for spots within a 15-20 min uber ride.

If dining solo, you can eat at the bar and a la carte.

Statebird Provisions is a fun date night if you can get in.
AQ has been more than awesome every time. I also love Chapeau, but that may be a bit more than 15 min
Rich Table just expanded hours and now opens at 5pm.
If you get there at opening or a little before, you can almost always get a seat at the walk-in dinner bar which seats 10-12 people.
+1 State Bird is a lot of fun and great food.
State Bird and Progress look great.
I went with Perbacco. The menu was too good to pass up.
