Autre Kyoya is the new restaurant from the Michelin starred Japanese restaurant Kyoya, both are located in the East Village.
Autre Kyoya has been billed as slightly more casual/affordable that Kyoya and with more western influences. The head chef trained in Paris. The other Chef worked a Kajitsu. I believe both worked at Kyoya.
The space is beautiful. It is a combination of old wooden beams sourced in upstate NYC and Japanese artistry - I think the bar was built by a Japanese craftsmen onsite.
The food was fantastic and perfect for a cold blustery night. Service was fantastic. Corkage is $30. Our total bill for two with corkage was under $150.
I look forward to going back soon.
