For NYC folks - Buon Italia sold me the best black truffle I’ve ever gotten my hands on yesterday. $60/oz. I was just slicing the leftovers to tuck under the skin of a chicken, and after washing my hands with soap and water they still stink of truffle. The aroma is almost white truffle-esque.
A very good price. I saw black truffle at $150/oz. at Citarella on Friday.
