kaito sushi here was much better than it needed to be with $10 corkage was a nice treat.
IMO the best fish tacos are at Fish 101 on Hwy 101 in Leucadia! Several choices on type of fish, grilled or fried. Always extremely fresh!

Firefly Grill on El Camino Real in Encinitas is very wine friendly. Jim and his staff do a consistently good job. A favorite of mine.
I don’t frequent the wine shops in the area so really can’t help! Some of the other locals should weigh in and help. Enjoy your stay!
I’ve never been, but 3rd Corner gets good vibe from Berserkers. There is one in Encinitas. I believe with another in San Diego (Ocean Beach). Wine shop and bistro.
Juanita’s in Leucadia has some pretty damned good carnitas. Buy it by the pound. Fish 101 or Kotija. Wash down with donuts from VG’s.
