What are the best restaurants reasonably near Irvine, CA? Can be anywhere on the price spectrum. I’d prefer a place with bar seating, but it’s not a necessity.
Playground is a cool place to sit at the bar and munch.
Marche Moderne in Costa Mesa
Go to din tai fung in Costa Mesa. One of the best soup dumplings in the US. They have a bar area. If you give enough heads up some of us can join you with so,e burgs

Downtown Santa Ana. No corkage and great beers. I like the food but others find it too salty.
Best Gyoza I’ve ever had and some great pork ramen at Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai.
Is the original much better than the other locations? Went to the one at Americana when it first opened and wasn’t super impressed.
The original in taiwan? Yeah 
. Otherwise the ones in so cal are kinda similar. The Arcadia location a small step up from the others
So +1. I ate there last week after not going for several months and the meal was outstanding, by far the best meal I had in the US all year. Going back again next week.
